Questions Every Pet Lover Should Ask Themselves

Written by: Nathan Winograd

How would you feel if the animal rights group you supported was using your donations to poison “healthy” and “perfect” animals?

How would you feel if the group you sent in money to assist with a “rescue” had the animals taken to a facility which gassed them to death?

How would you feel if the group you were donating to because they promised to be there for the animals actually sent the neediest ones to a place which neglected, abused, and then killed them?

Would you be upset? Would you feel sick to your stomach? Would you feel betrayed?

If you donate to PETA, HSUS or the ASPCA that is exactly how you should feel:

PETA: Just The Facts

Fact: A mother cat and her two kittens were given to PETA employees by a veterinarian after they assured him that they would find the animals homes. Instead, the PETA employees immediately killed the mother and her two kittens, in the back of a van equipped with syringes and lethal drugs: a donor-funded PETA slaughterhouse on wheels.

Fact: While PETA claims to be against animal research, it championed a Pit Bull ban in Ontario, even though Ontario requires the pound to turn animals over for research. After 72 hours, a pet can be sold for vivisection (cruel experiments).

(Fact: While PETA claims to be against the meat industry, PETA has come out in SUPPORT of the proposed Horse Slaughter, which would, if passed into law, allow a “Horsemeat” section in supermarkets, right next to the “Beef”, “Pork, and “Poultry” sections.)

(Fact: In June 2005, dozens of dead pets were found by police in a garbage bin in North Carolina. The pets were murdered and thrown in the garbage by PETA employees. PETA has admitted this.)

As surprising as the incidents described above may be, they in fact detail what has been business as usual by PETA employees for many years. PETA systematically seeks out, then kills animals on a regular basis.
Over 27,000 animals have died at the hands of PETA employees over the last decade alone.

While communities across the country are ENDING THE KILLING of healthy and treatable animals, with save rates as high as 98 percent, in 2011, PETA killed 96 percent of cats and dogs, and 93 percent of other companion animals such as rabbits that it took in, despite revenues of over 30 million dollars a year and millions of animal loving

When PETA representatives have been questioned about this killing, they’ve argued that all of the animals they kill are “unadoptable”. But this claim is a lie for numerous reasons:

It is a lie because rescue groups and individuals have come forward stating that the animals they gave PETA WERE HEALTHY AND ADOPTABLE, and PETA insiders have admitted as much, one former intern reporting that he quit in disgust after witnessing perfectly healthy puppies and kittens in the kill room.

It is a lie because there are over half a dozen shelters in Virginia where PETA is located which are now saving upwards of 90 percent of all animals they take in, while PETA, in that same state, is killing that many.

It is a lie because Virginia shelters as a whole are saving 56 percent of the animals they take in, and many of those are doing so, without even really trying.
(If they implemented The No Kill Equation (,they would save over 90%, perhaps as much as 98% of all animals.)

It is a lie because PETA refuses to provide it’s criteria for making the determination as to whether or not an animal is “unadoptable” .

(Indeed, PETA’s “leader” Ingrid Newkirk, is on record as having said that murdering pets is the “loving” thing to do, because this is a “cruel world”, indicating that the simple fact that an animal is ALIVE AND BREATHING is “justification” enough to murder them, even if it means falsely labeling them as “unadoptable”, giving PETA a clearly fraudulent, and frankly, demented, “excuse” to murder healthy animals. It should be noted that Ingrid Newkirk herself, and her many cult followers, have not given THEMSELVES the same “loving exit” from this “cruel world” that they have given pets, proving that PETA is on a mission to kill pets, no matter how lame the excuse, and no matter how contradictory their claims are compared to their OWN lives, where Newkirk and her minions walk out of their front doors into this “cruel world” every morning, while NOT considering the four legged souls of this world equally deserving of such consideration, and reverence.)

It is a lie because according to a state inspector, the PETA facility where the animals are impounded, was designed to house animals for no more than 24 hours.

It is a lie because Newkirk herself admitted as much during a 2008 television interview: When asked whether or not PETA kills healthy animals, she responded, “Absolutely.”

And it is a lie because when asked what sort of effort PETA routinely makes to find adoptive homes for animals in it’s care, PETA responded that it had “no comment”.

Despite the public perception of PETA as a radical “animal rights” organization, in practice, the organization is itself the functional equivalent of a slaughterhouse.

I recommend that you purchase two copies of the book(s), one for yourself, the other for your local library so that others in your community can learn how to become a No Kill community, while learning why NOT to donate to PETA and other fraudulent “animal rights” groups such as the HSUS and ASPCA.
I have added my own information and comments by putting them in parenthesis, so that they will not be wrongly attributed to the Winograds, as they are my words and my words only.)

—————————Our Pets are being murdered by the millions every year, in poor excuses for animal “shelters”. There ARE life saving alternatives (see below), but kill “shelter” operators are used to the status quo of killing pets, rather than saving them. YOU can help change that, by checking out the links below, and then demanding that your local “shelter” officials, Mayor, City Council Members, Representatives etc. actively fight to stop this disgusting massacre of our four legged family members. Please check out the following links. Thank you—————————————
